The Publisher Auricle
Ink Publishers was formed in 1997 to facilitate
publication of consumer books on auditory
disorders, from hearing loss to vertigo.
Clinical and research Audiologist Richard
E Carmen, Au.D. launched the publishing
company with the release of his third
book, but the first one for Auricle Ink.
The mission of the company is to provide
consumers with the most up-to-date information
about hearing disorders in language they
can understand and at prices they can
afford.
In 2011, the
mission is shifting to embrace a broader
spectrum in healthcare outside the hearing
industry, and will begin publishing books
on such topics as dementia, Alzheimer’s
disease, autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
